Three and a half years ago, thousands of people flooded the streets of downtown Cleveland, carrying the message that science is our fried, and science denial will get us in deep trouble. And that was long before there was any pandemic on the horizon. Marchers were concerned about climate change — burning rivers, flooding lowlands, increasingly ferocious hurricanes, massive forest fires. Well … there you go. Most of what the marchers predicted has come true: we have an administration that ignores science and now we see the outcome.

It’s worth looking back at the message these marchers were sending. Hopefully it will be heeded by the next administration — before it’s too late.
