Sun 10/11 @ 7PM & 9:30PM
Brooklyn-based sextet Huntertones was formed by sax player Dan White in Columbus back in 2010, when he, trombonist Chris Ott and trumpet player Jon Lampley were students at THE Ohio State University.
They’ve been frequent visitors to Northeast Ohio, and played numerous times at the BOP STOP whre they return this week to celebrate the release of their new album Transmission which came out in August. It’s actually the tenth release from the hard-working ensemble, whose repertoire includes their own compositions and reimagined covers, retooled in their own high-energy, horn-driven style — jazz infused with funk, soul, hip hop and pop. In addition to White, Ott and Lampley, the band also includes guitarist Joshua Hill, bassist Adam DeAscentis, and drummer John Hubbell.
They’ve clearly built a loyal fan base here because the BOP STOP will have two separate seatings on this evening. Go HERE for tickets.
