To raise money for the programs at its expanded facility on the border of University Circle and East Cleveland, The Sculpture Center is holding an art party/benefit to celebrate their work: a rare institution dedicated entirely to sculpture.
The event, called The Night Before, will surround partygoers with art: immersive, site-specific installations, live activations, atmospheric lighting and sound, and more throughout the galleries, exhibition spaces and courtyard. That will include digital and sculptural activations by Kasumi, Jimmy Kuehnle and Lauren Yeager, and gallery exhibitions by Emily Cukver, Brent Kee Young and Max Spitzer.
There’ll also be an Art for a Cause sale featuring work by some of the area’s innovative sculptural artists, a chance to see the private sculpture collection of The Sculpture Center founder David E. Davis, and free bits from Fired Up! Catering. VIP ticket holders will get an hour from 5-6pm to preview the displays along with complimentary drinks.
