It may be mid-September, but Lorain County’s Riverdog Barn still has some season to go, with more of the roots/bluegrass/ Americana acts its audiences love.
This week it’s presenting North Carolina native, bluegrass singer/songwriter Caroline Owens. Although just 23, she’s a three-time nominee (2024-26) for the Bluegrass Music Awards’ Female Vocalist of the Year, and has landed #1 songs on Bluegrass Today’s Gospel and Grasscicana charts. Her band, New Company, backs her with the traditional acoustic bluegrass instrumental lineup of standup bass, guitar, mandolin and fiddle. From the sound of her music, she’s likely to become a Riverdog favorite for many years to come.
