The new season is starting for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland’s Sunday morning Forums That Matter series, which tackles topics in the news that impact our lives. And never have there been more such topics!
The biweekly series kicks off with a presentation by the nonpartisan, nonprofit voter information organization the League of Women Voters, which was founded the same year the 19th Amendment was ratified (1920), giving women the right to vote. The group provides information on when, where and how to vote, advocated for voter rights, hosts candidate forums and puts out candidate and issue information for voters.
At this forum, Dawn Ellis, Co-President of the Board of League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland Dawn Ellis, and the board’s former co-president Marcia Goldberg will talk about the many state and local issues voters will find on their ballot in the November 3 election and advise voters on how to get ready to cast their vote. This will be a nonpartisan forum to make sure voters cast an informed ballot.
The forum is free and open to all, and knowing Unitarians, there’ probably coffee.
