Holden Arboretum Prepares for Halloween with “Skeleton Grove” Display

Fri 9/18 @ 5-7:30PM

Sat 9/19-Sun 11/1

Holden Arboretum in Kirtland really doesn’t need to add reasons for people to visit this time of year: the meadows, woods and gardens are still in full array, and in a few weeks, the fall colors will put on a spectacular show.

But they’re not taking anything for granted. On Saturday September 19 it’s Halloween-themed Skeleton Grove goes on display, featuring fourteen 12-foot artist-designed figures striking playful poses in the Main Display Garden and in front of the Corning Visitor Center. On Friday evening September 18, Holden is hosting a special preview wher evisitors can talk to the artists who created the figures, and purchase tacos and drinks. Get tickets HERE for this event.

Visitors can also meet the artists each Saturday in October from 10am-3pm, get a free professional family photo against a fall backdrop, take part in family-friendly activities and lawn games, and purchase food from food trucks. This, and the Skeleton Grove display, are included with regular admission. Skeleton Grove will be on view through November 1.
