It’s the 61st year for the Geneva Grape Jamboree which celebrates the harvest in one of the region’s biggest grape-growing and winemaking areas. It takes over the town so don’t plan to go there for any reason but attending this festival.
The two-day event features TWO parades, each day at 2pm, starring Miss Grapette and her very large court. Each day will be packed with rides, an art show, a craft and vendor show, a grape pie-eating contest, grape stomping (adult and junior categories), wine tasting (adults only), circus performers, a bunch of tribute bands, and on Sunday, the Sojourner Quartet from Findlay, Ohio will kick things off at 10”30am with a church service on stage, and perform again on Sunday at 5:15pm.
