Cleveland Oktoberfest at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds has become a Cleveland tradition, yet another place offering food and entertainment over Labor Day weekend for those who’d rather go out looking for fun than grill in their backyard. For two weekends — four days over the holiday weekend and two days the following weekend — you can find German food, beer and culture in Berea, Ohio.
Beer is the cornerstone of the festival, and you can sample more than 15 craft beers in the Great Lakes Craft Beer Hall. There’s also a non-alcoholic bar called Verbena Garden. And there’ll be plenty of food to go along with the drinks, from vendors such as Pierogies R Us, Great Steak & Hoagies Rust Belt Flatbread and Danke Dips House, offering a range of hearty selections.
There’s also entertainment including on multiple stages including local tribute bands, but German band Dorfrocker will also be playing again, and there’ll be polka music from the Don Wojtila Band and DJ Kishka. Roll out the barrel! There’s a host of other fun activities too: keg bowling, wiener dog races, stein-holding contests, a classic car show, a Miss Oktoberfest contest, an art market and fireworks.
