moCa Cleveland Launches Four New Shows with a Party

Fri 8/28 @ 6-9PM

moCa Cleveland celebrates the arrival of four new fall/winter exhibitions, which debut at an opening night party on Friday August 28, and will be on view through March 7, 2027.

The four diverse artists include American environmental artist Jody Pinto, who was involved in the early 1970s Land Art movement and has spent five decades making sculpture, ephemeral outdoor installations, landscape interventions, public art and drawings. In that male-dominated art section, she organized Women Organized Against Rape (WOAR), linking feminism with the environment by connecting bodily and environmental forms and systems, such as veins and irrigation, hair and plant growth, injury and healing, in her piece body/land.

New York-based Tishan-Hu’s works connect the body to something else: technology. His work, Permeable Surface, looks at how technology is changing our sense of reality. Rachel Rose creates a new world through animation in her Lake Valley, and Faye Wei Wei offers colorful and poetic paintings that blur reality and myth in Draw In Your Head and Sleep the Whole Way Home.  The artists represent a range of generations and career trajectories.

The opening night party is free; you can reserve a spot HERE.
