The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is giving people an additional reason to visit on a sleepy Monday — maybe a last hurrah before the kids go back to school?
The Zoo’s family-friendly Community Concert will feature half a dozen different musical groups, representing a wide range of cultures and musical styles, in various locations around the zoo. They include traditional Irish band the Kilroys, reggae/Caribbean group Sun Shade & Tropikal Vybz Band, Moises Borges Brazilian Jazz Band, Papa Ruiz y la Dulzura de la Salsa, Country Honk, and the Cleveland Orchestra’s Explorers on the Road.
There will also be resource tables from community organizations described as “interactive” which probably means spinning a wheel to get a wristband, keychain or tote.
The event is free with admission — and totally free if you’re a Cuyahoga County or Hinckley resident, because it’s Free Monday!
