Monarch Meadow Vineyard

In January 2026, a new vineyard opened to augment the thriving wine scene in the Grand River Valley region. That’s when and Jacqui Ward opened Monarch Meadow Vineyard in Geneva, with a focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices at all steps in the winemaking process. Their wines use only Ohio-grown grapes from Grand River area from no farther than 20 miles away, their food is all locally sourced, and they recycle both glass and food. In addition, they leave areas on the grounds wild to provide a habitat for pollinators including the monarch butterflies the vineyard is named for and even provide free milkweed seeds to guests so they can grow more of this plant critical to the survival of monarchs.

Their tasting room, with its fireplace and view of the meadows, features wine and food pairings, which change seasonally. Pets on leashes are welcome in the outdoor seating area. And if you’re looking to plan a special event, your group can book a wine tour.
