Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood will be looking festive at this time of year, when it hosts it annual Little Italy Holiday ArtWalk, one of the area’s oldest art walks. There won’t be as much going on out in the closely packed streets as during the spring and fall art walks but there will be plenty of doors to duck into to see things: art, crafts and giftable items for sale, pasta and pizza to eat, cocktails to drink, Italian pastries from Corbo’s or Presti’s to munch on, even gelato if you like that sort of thing in the winter.
La Bella Vita offers home goods, most imported from Italian; Moonstruck CLE features vintage items of all types. Stop at the Murray Hill Market for something edible to take home. And drop in the Italian American Museum on Mayfield to learn a little about the area’s history.
You will of course want to stop in the Murray Hill Schoolhouse where resident artists such as Janet Century and Tricia Kaman will have their doors open and special guest artists will have their work set up. Amore Gallery shows work by a variety of local artists, while Verne Gallery specializes in Japanese prints, some very affordable.
There will be physical maps available at various galleries, merchants and restaurants, and digital copies online.
