Northeast Ohio-based guitarist Neil Zaza has been putting together spectacular holiday shows for years — his Christmas-themed “One Silent Night” and his Halloween show “One Dark Night.” But this year’s One Dark Night at the Akron Civic Theatre outdid previous shows. In addition to creatively reimagined rock and pop classics ranging from “Sympathy for the Devil” to the Cranberries’ “Zombie” to Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” the show featured an ensemble of dancers, four different lead vocalists, costumes, stage props and photo, video and special effects projections on a giant screen that worked together to tell a loosely knit story about the presence of evil.
