Some events just scream for Halloween treatment, and one of those is the monthly Dark Wave Dance Cave at the Winchester Music Tavern. It’s hosted by DJs Mimi Dromette and Matthew Darkstar, who specialize year-round in darker strains of music in the darkwave, goth, electronic, post-punk and new wave genres. Come October, they’ll roll out the darkest, eeriest selections in those genres for Goth-O-Ween. But there’ll be plenty of other enhancements to make this a party to remember: decorations, candy, a ghoulish backdrop for photos and themed drink specials
And if you rock sinister attire for their regular events, you’ll want to up your game for this one: there’s a costume contest at midnight.
