The Dalad Group is the real estate group behind such apartment developments as Worthington Yards in the Flats, and Tinnerman Lofts and the new Franklin Yard project in Ohio City, turning old buildings into new living spaces.

But it’s also taken on another project that’s much needed in the visual arts community: the Dalad Collection, curated by Cleveland’s noted arts maven Liz Maugans. It’s put together more than 500 works by more than 250, across a variety of mediums, which it displays in the public and residential spaces of its buildings, turning them into veritable art galleries. One of its goals is to get apartment residents and others thinking about the idea of purchasing work by local artists for their living spaces.

In addition, the lobby of Worthington Yards is also the Yards Project Gallery where Maugans presents group shows on various themes to showcase the artists and plant the idea of purchasing local art for one’s home.

The next show, opening Thursday September 25, is called Open Yards III featuring the work of nearly three dozen artists whose work was recently acquired by the Dalad Collection, including established artists such as Douglas Max Utter, Bruce Checefsky, Mark Soppeland, Laila Voss, Martha Cliffel, George Kocar, Cathie Bleck, and the late Audra Skuodas, as well as up-and-coming artists.

The show will be on view through January 10, 2026.
