Described as a “big block party,” the Lakewood Summer Meltdown will once again take over downtown Detroit between Marlowe and Arthur avenues when it returns for the 17th year.
The event offers activities to appeal to all ages and types of people including a 5K race,1 Mile Family Fun Run & Walk, and a street festival, live music with pop/hip hop artist Jul Big Green and eclectic seven-piece horn band Post Saga, games, food vendors, a beer garden and more. “More” of course will include the beloved Water Moose Sprinkler and the Skate Park.
It’s free and open to all.
