The Cleveland Orchestra surges into the Easter season with a masterpiece of seasonally oriented music by Johann Sebastian Bach — one of history’s great composers. It’s presenting three concerts revolving around his Easter oratorio, led by Baroque music specialist and Bach enthusiast, Canadian conductor Bernard Labadie.
The orchestra with be joined by the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, and soloists, soprano Joélle Harvey, mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet, ten or Andrew Haji and bass-baritone Gordon Bintner for the all-Bach program, which also includes his Sinfonia from Cantata No. 29 and Magnificat.
