Help Pick Up Trash and Debris Along Doan Brook in the Cleveland Cultural Gardens

Sat 4/19 @ 10AM-1PM

Spring is outdoor clean-up time. As the weather warms a little, many people are heading out into their yards to rake, prune and even plant. And community clean-up events, such as the big May 3 Riversweep, are coming up as well.

If you can’t wait to join a bunch of other people for a community-minded event, Doan Brook Watershed Partners and the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes are holding their annual stream sweep this weekend. Come help pick up trash — SO much trash! — as well as debris such as branches, in and around Doan Brook. Meet the crew at Rockefeller Lagoon across from the VA Hospital from whence teams will spread out along the Cleveland Cultural Gardens which are located along Doan Brook. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes or boots. All are welcome. SO much trash!
