The topic of the April edition of the monthly musicians’ professional development workshops, presented by Cleveland Rocks” Past Present Future at the Cleveland Rocks Shop in the Waterloo Arts District, is “getting the gig.” And it’s hosted by someone who knows more about that topic than virtually any musician in town: guitarist/songwriter/vocalist Brent Kirby. He not only plays constantly in virtually every kind of setting, context and lineup you can think of, he also books special events and concert series. He knows, he really does! Listen to the man!
There’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask him questions.
Following the discussion from 7-8pm, there’s a 2×4 songwriter showcase with four artists performing two songs a piece. This month’s performers are Andrea Nicole King, Rick Szekelyi, Glass Aeros and Fragments of Speech.
