Guitar Riot Hosts Grand Opening of New, Expanded Ohio City Space

Sat 2/1 @ 11AM

Musicians Brent Ferguson and Tim Parnin opened Guitar Riot in late 2012 in AsiaTown’s Artcraft Building to sell high-end guitars, specialty amps, effects pedals and other gear for serious musicians.

That building is now in transition to the new city of Cleveland police headquarters, but Guitar Riot had already outgrown that space. In 2023, it located space in a new building in Ohio City where it took over the entire first floor and began the build-out of a custom-designed space. It’s already had a “soft opening,” but now it’s hosting a grand opening to showcase the greatly expanded showroom, stock and services. Starting at 11am, there’ll be live performances, refreshments, discounts, gear raffles and chances to win Fender and Gibson guitars all day. Musicians of all levels of skill and experience are welcome.

Ferguson says that Guitar Riot has the largest inventory between New York and Chicago. It’s also the exclusive independent dealer in Northeast Ohio for Gibson, Fender, and Martin guitars. It also carries Nash, Heritage, and Reverend guitars and a curated selection of used guitars, along with, amplifiers, pedals, and accessories. The space also offers onsite guitar repairs by luthier Jay Pawar and amplifier repairs by Joe Golden, adding to the comprehensive services (including lessons) offered in the space. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday @ 11am-6pm and Friday and Saturday @ 11am-5pm.
