Sat 12/14 @ 11AM-1:30PM
Saturday December 14 is clearly “do something for animals” day, with Meowy Christmas in the evening, and Neighborhood Pets’ Holiday Celebration during the day — so you can hit both!
For a decade, Neighborhood Pets, located in Slavic Village, has been providing low-cost assistance to financially challenged pet owners so they don’t have to give up their furry friends when they face economic hard times. It offers services such as vaccinations, supplies, low-cost spay/neuter and even a pet food pantry.
Its 9th annual holiday celebration is a family-friendly event to raise awareness of the organization’s services, and broaden its community of supporters. All (humans) are welcome at the event at Slavic Village’s Bohemian Hall which features a hot meal, refreshments, prizes and giveaways and pictures with Santa. It’s free; go here for more info.
