Since its founding in 2011, Bike Cleveland has been advocating for infrastructure that’s designed for the safety of cyclists and pedestrians as well as cars to encourage people to use alternative modes of transportation. Now some of its ideas are starting to come to fruition in the city with talks about protected midways on Lorain and Superior avenues.
Now it’s casting its eye toward the Midtown Corridor where Euclid Avenue was turned into, let’s face it, a confusing, off-putting mess.
It’s launching a new committee to focus on Midtown and kicking it off with a social event at Dunham Tavern and Gardens. It’s a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of its latest advocacy initiative to work for safer streets and to meet fellow cycling enthusiasts.
It’s free; reserve your spot here.
