It’s hard to pigeonhole veteran Cleveland artist Georgio Sabino III; he’s something of a renaissance man. Many have known him as a photographer, but his work stretches beyond that boundary into fashion, art and technology. So you’ll never be entirely sure what you’ll see when he has a show — and he has two on the immediate horizon.
The first is called Artistic Jungle, and it’s going on view at the Cleveland Botanical Garden through Sunday July 14. Described as “a visionary fusion of art, fashion and photography,” we’re told it “challenges the boundaries of traditional art forms, offering a fresh perspective on the intersection of art and technology in our increasingly digitized world. At its core are augmented reality (AR) paintings that seamlessly blend the physical and virtual realms, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of imagination and wonder.” That could sound like hype coming from any artist, but Sabino has shown he can deliver.
The second show, described as an “Avant Garde Art Exhibit,” takes place at David Ramsey’s Deep Roots Experience Gallery, opening Friday May 24. It will include painting, photography, fashion, technology by Rachel Thompson, and music by DJ Mood and GS3. Sabino will be presenting his Artistic Jungle Series. That will be on view through Saturday June 15.
