Cleveland photographer Herb Ascherman has been known in the region for more than 40 decades for his fine art approach to portraiture, including his mastery of the platinum process. His work in black and white lends a classic approach to his wedding and society photography, and throughout his career as a commercial photography, he’s also done his own projects: series of photos of different subjects and concepts including Cleveland artists, native Americans and first responders.
He’ll be debuting a new one, called Nude in a White Dress, at Gallery + at 78th Street Studios, opening on Wednesday September 8. He’ll be in the gallery for an artist talk on Thursday October 12. The show runs through December 14 when there’ll be a closing reception.
