Workshop Helps Musicians Unlock the Mysteries of Gear

Mon 5/15 @ 7-9PM

The Waterloo-based nonprofit Cleveland Rocks: Past Present Future has been hosting a series of workshops as part of its program to offer educational opportunities to musicians to help them grow their careers,

This month, Kevin Borrowman, who owns Northern Lights & Sound and teaches in Cuyahoga Community College’s Recording Arts and Technology program, will be sharing his experience as a developer of professional audio equipment. He’ll draw on that experience to offer brass-tacks equipment advice for musicians, both in the studio and onstage. Hell answer questions musicians might have about how to get a better sound live and on record and how to care for gear.

The workshop is followed by the 2 x 4 singer-songwriter showcase. This month’s performers are Aleis Julia, Madison Cummins, Bill Lestock and Guy Snowdon.

Bring your questions and learn strategies to have a better show, a better record, and how to take better care of your gear. The event takes place at the Music Saves storefront on Waterloo. It’s free but space is limited so if you want to be guaranteed a seat, please register here.
