So we’re having a cold, rainy spell as we write this, but never fear: the warmer, sunnier weather is just over the horizon. And most of the organizations, churches, communities and other groups that put on festivals have announced their dates, all the way through October. And things start very soon, with the Cleveland Asian Festival returning for the 14th year. They’ve got their schedule of vendors, performers and activities posted. The following weekend is Memorial Day weekend so there’s more going on than you could possibly do, with Cleveland Public Theatre’s Station Hope in Ohio City, Chagrin Falls’ Blossom Time, the National Rib Cookoff at the Berea Fairgrounds, the Black Excellence Fest in Akron and Reggae Fest Cleveland at the North Coast Harbor. You say there’s nothing to do in northeast Ohio? You lie — especially at this time of year!

P.S. If you know of a festival we’ve missed let us know. Church ethnic festivals in particular tend to announce their dates late, but we’ll be glad to add them.
