Summit StageFest Is Revived, Thanks to Akron Civic Theatre

Sat 7/9 @ 11AM

Summit Stagefest was a relatively new festival on the summer season calendar when it went away during the pandemic.

Now it’s being revived courtesy of the Akron Civic Theatre, which is offering all the spaces in its complex — the big theater, the Knight Stage and Wild Oscar’s — to a host of theater and performing ensembles, ranging from classic theater to comedy and music, based in the greater Akron area, to offer a sampling of what they do.

Among the groups are Western Reserve Playhuse, the Tower Eighty Players, the Luminescent Moon Theatre, Phoenix Performing Arts, Boom/Steven Scionti, Just Go With It Improv, the Center of Applied Drama & Autism, Genesis Experience Theatre , Gum Dip Theatre, Hearts for Music, MTP, Point of No Return Improv, Miller South, Boom! Theater and ETC All American Youth Show Choir.

It’s all free and no tickets are needed. Just drop in and browse the offerings, stop when something catches your interest.  Find a schedule here.
