Cleveland’s Screaming Pays Tribute to the Local Punk Scene

Sat 7/9 @ 8PM

Over the years, Jim Lanza and some of his punk rock pals have presented a series of evenings called Cleveland’s Screaming, paying tribute to Cleveland’s classic punk scenes.

Now he, Johnny Dromette and Bob Richey are presenting what they say will be “the final chapter,” and if you were ever a fan of any Cleveland punk rockers, you’ll want to be there.

The evening is headlined by Archie & the Bunkers, a pair of young brothers who whose band, which was active in the early-mid 2010s, when they were just in their teens, paid tribute to classic Cleveland punk. The brothers have gone onto adult lives, and are now performing their “first ever reunion show,” playing “hits” by legendary Cleveland punk bands.

It will also include the world-premiere screening of the lost Mike Hudson movie, This Is Elvis Birthday ‘92. Hudson was the legendary leader of Cleveland band the Pagans, a guy with a taste for drink and a huge chip on his shoulder, who passed away in 2017.

Finally, there’ll be a performances by special guests the Ruiners, whose sound they describe as “insane psychobilly sex rock,” and Bat Hearse from Detroit.

Admission is $15.
