Maker Town Market at Forest City Brewing Launches Summer Artist Market Season

Fri 4/29 @ 5-9PM

Nature-based artist Susie Frazier is as much an entrepreneur as an artist. She was one of the first artists to be part of 78thStreet Studios, and a driving force behind its Third Fridays and other special events. Her welcoming shop features not only her work but that of guest artists and craftspeople.

Then during the pandemic, she started Maker Town, an online market to connect local artists and artisans with shoppers looking for unique handmade items. Last year, that expanded into her live outdoor Maker Town Markets, which she’s bringing back this year, starting this weekend.

“Connecting to the maker community is good for the soul and good for local businesses!” she says and she couldn’t be more on target after two years of pandemic limitations.  The first market will be indoor/outdoor (weather’s iffy right now)) take place at Forest City Brewery in Ohio City, where 20 designers, artists and vintage dealers will be offering delightful things for sale, and you can enjoy the handcrafted Maker Town brew of the day.
