EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute, which runs a pair of restaurant on Shaker Square, and a butcher shop, coffee shop and bakery on nearby Buckeye Road, has recently attracted the attention of the national media for its mission of training people returning from incarceration for jobs in culinary businesses
The New York Times travel section named EDWINS one of “52 Places for a Changed World,” saying that it’s a place “…where visitors can be part of the solution to problems like overtourism and climate change” and … “a restaurant with a mission of social justice [that] turns dinner into a means of uplift.”
In addition, it’s been highlighted by The Washington Post and Fox Business.
“To receive this global recognition is a testament, that when you follow a moral compass and do what’s right and just and never waiver, it can change the world,” says EDWINS founder Brandon Chrostowski in a press release. “For all our students and graduates at EDWINS who show promise, perseverance, and humility and the unwavering Buckeye-Shaker community, we’re eternally grateful.
