We’re so excited to have the North Coast Men’s Chorus back onstage live in time for their annual holiday show, which is always moving, uplifting, inspiring — and bawdy. The guys know how to combine heartfelt emotion with irreverent fun, beautiful singing with outrageous costumed dance/skits. And while we enjoyed watching their streamed-from-home concert last year it just wasn’t the same.
This year they’ll be onstage at the beautiful Maltz Performing Arts Center in University Circle for “Holidays With You!” Artistic director Rich Cole will lead the ensemble in traditional carols, pop Christmas standards and some goofy nonsense. Among the song titles they’re sharing are “Mary Sat A-Rockin’,” “Light One Candle,” “Do You Hear What I Hear” and “Ding! Dong! Merrily on High.” The small ensemble, the Coastliners, will spin their harmony magic on several songs. And we’re told “you won’t want to miss the holiday elves!,” this year’s production number. OK.
