Launch Event Shares Anthology of Black Women’s Voices

Fri 4/16 @ 7PM

Literary Cleveland introduces its second Amplify Project anthology, called Black Women Coping in Cleveland, this Friday with a virtual launch party and readings by contributors of their stories and poems.

Literary Cleveland intern Dr. Tisha Carter aka Dr. T created the anthology driven by her personal experiences and statistics from City Lab about the lagging income, health and education outcomes faced by urban Black women across the U.S. with Cleveland holding down the bottom slot. Black Women Coping in Cleveland hopes to be a voice for change by sharing personal stories and raising awareness of issues faced by Black women here.
