Malian-French Singer/Songwriter Performs at Art Museum

Wed 2/26 @ 7:30PM

Malian singer/composer/guitarist/actress Fatoumata Diawara, who moved to France in her late teens, blends her African roots with contemporary sounds to make music that’s widely appealing. The 37-year-old performer launched her music career in earnest in 2011 with an EP and album, both called Fatou. Since then she’s toured extensively in Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and the U.S., adding two more albums to her catalog including 2018’s Fenfo (Something to Say).

Diawara will be performing at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium. Tickets are $30-$45.
