What better way to start off the year than joining a Summit Metro Parks naturalist for the 2nd annual New Year’s Day Snowshoe Hike, especially if your New Year’s resolution was to get more exercise?
Meet at the Liberty Park Nature Center, where there will be snowshoes to use free or charge (or bring your own), and where hikers will return afterwards for hot chocolate in front of the fire. If there’s no snow, there’ll just be a walking hike. Either way you’ll get to enjoy the outdoors and maybe seen some of the creatures that are active outside in the winter.
It’s free and open to all, but advance reservations are required. Go here.
