Celebrate Slavic Village’s Heritage at Its Kielbasa Cookout

Sat 10/19 @ 5-10PM

What could be a more appropriate way to celebrate the fall in Slavic Village than a kielbasa cookout?

The third annual Fleet Avenue Keilbasa Cookout, taking place at 5708 Fleet Avenue, will feature Hungarian, Polish or Slovenian kielbasa smoked over a fire (available for purchase at the event), beer, raffles, kids’ activities, including art making and ’smore cooking, and lots of live music. There’ll be oldies, blues and bluegrass by the Good Knights, beach rock by Funny Business, Blue Cadillac’s classic rock and, of course, polka — you can’t have kielbasa without polka — provided by the Tom Katrenich Orchestra.

It’s free to attend, and everyone’s invited to see the progress being made as this neighborhood makes a comeback.
