Windsong Feminist Chorus Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Concerts at the BOP STOP & Near West Theatre

Fri 5/3 @ 7PM

Sun 5/5 @ 4PM

Windsong, Cleveland’s Feminist Chorus, has been making their special brand of music, with its positive and empowering message for women, for four decades. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the chorus is presenting a pair of performances.

“Bold.Brazen.Brave” takes place at the BOP STOP Friday night. The evening “will showcase the strength, perseverance, and determination of women from all stripes of life through music, video, storytelling and live performance,” according to the event p.r. It will feature both current and past singers in an intimate setting, where the audience will be able to interact with the singers. General admission tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door; VIP tickets are $40 in advance, $50 at the door and include two drink tickets plus a special meet-and-greet with the chorus.

On Sunday, the chorus will perform at Near West Theatre in Gordon Square, asking the question every parent on a car trip with kids has heard, “Are We There Yet?” They’re present a series of songs and stories addressing this question to which the answer in the age of Trump is “no.” The concert will feature the nearly 50 singing members of the chorus (who are supported by volunteers and non-singing members), joining their voices in various combinations to make a mighty sound.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
