The annual Swing Prom hosted by Get Hep Swing is right around the corner! Jive and jam with friends at this all-ages event at the Beachland Ballroom Saturday, April 27th @ 7pm.
Internationally acclaimed swing dancers Alexis Dixon and Cyle Dixon will perform to the unbeatable swing sounds of the Pitt Vipers featuring Sweet B, with others welcome to observe and dance along. Live music will continue throughout the night.
A beginner-friendly jitterbug lesson will also be available with Valerie Salstrom and her first dance partner (and co-creator of Get Hep Swing) Joel Plys from 7:30-8pm. No partner or previous experience necessary!
Swing Prom King and Queen will be crowned @ 9:30 p.m. Come in your fanciest prom attire from any era and have the chance to win prizes. Take pictures at the photo-op spot to show off your style.
