If it’s March it must be maple syrup time in Ohio! One place to celebrate it is at Hale Farm & Village where visitors can enjoy a pancake breakfast — because you need something to put the maple syrup ON — which also features sausage, fruit, coffee, juice and milk.

Then they can head out into the re-created 19th-century village for a demonstration of the old-fashioned process of tapping trees for their sap, and boiling that sap into syrup — and the chance to treat a maple treat. There’ll also be other demonstrations of traditional crafts and trades such as spinning, weaving and blacksmithing going on all day.

Admission, including breakfast and all activities, is $15 for those 13 and over, $10 for kids ages 3-12; $5 for the pancake breakfast only. Breakfast is served until 3pm.
