Three Area Music Veterans Perform at “Boomers in the Night” at the Beachland Ballroom

Sat 12/29 @ 8PM

Northeast Ohio folksinger Alex Bevan whose career began in area folk clubs in the late 60s and who released the first of his more than two dozen albums in 1971, has fully embraced his identity as a baby boomer. His 2016 album on his own Fiddler’s Wynde label called Boomer: A Utopian Memoir was a concept album that explored the experience of the generation inspired to make music by the Beatles.

He’s joined up with two musicians of a similar age to present Boomers in the Night at the Beachland Ballroom. Comedian/acoustic musician Charlie Wiener has been gracing local stages since the ’70s with his smart-ass attitude and humor-laced songs, and has also had a career doing stand-up comedy. Cleveland-born multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/songwriter David Rosen has toured with Elvin Bishop and Peter Tork. His album Ordinary Miracles, “35 years in the making,” he says, features two other northeast Ohioans: Canton drummer Joe Vitale who has played with artists like Joe Walsh and Crosby Stills Nash and Young, and singer/songwriter Anne E. DeChant.

Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
