Discovering a talented new jazz/pop vocalist is always exciting. Alaska-born Halie Loren is one such artist on the rise.
Now living in Eugene, Oregon, Loren tackles many genres including jazz, blues, soul and pop, in multiple languages, covering the Great American Songbook classics as well as her own original compositions, something she’s increasingly focused on.
She’s got a newly released album called From the Wild Sky, which includes ten of her own songs, along with her interpretation of Roberto Livi’s “A Mi Manera.” She’ll be making her Cleveland debut at Nighttown to introduce the songs to northeast Ohio. Tickets are $20.
