Teen Writers Symposium at Loganberry Books Exposes Kids to Different Forms of Writing

Sat 5/5 @ 1-3:30PM

Lake Erie Ink’s mission is to get young people excited about writing from virtually the time they can pick up a pen or pencil (or work a keyboard).

This week they’ll be offering a Teen Writer’s Symposium for youth in grades 6-12, so don’t worry if your would-be author isn’t QUITE a teen. Taking place at Loganberry Books on Larchmere Boulevard, the afternoon event will feature writers in various genres in a panel discussion and breakout sessions. They’ll hear from journalist/author Brendan Whitt, playwright/nonfiction auction Christopher Johnston, nonfiction/sci-fi author and playwright/screenwriter Charlotte Morgan and young adult novelist Tricia Springstubb.

Fee is $10, although they will make accommodations for those who cant afford it. Register at lakeerieink.org
