During the next Walk All Over Waterloo, Maria Neil Art Project will be lifting the curtain on two new shows.
In its main gallery, it’s opening Alternative Movie Posters curated by Matthew Chojnacki, author of two books on underground film art and executive producer of the upcoming documentary, 24 x 36: A Movie About Movie Posters. Maria Neil will be showing some of the posters featured in the book, as well as additional posters, by more than a dozen artists, including some by Clevelanders.
In the Native Cleveland annex, it will be showing Pita Brooks’s Bite Size, a series of small encaustic tableaus that draw their visuals and concepts from films.
Alternative Movie Posters runs through Sun 12/11; Bite Size runs through Sun 11/27.
