Mon 6/27 @ 7-8:30PM
If you just read the roundup of Lorain/Sandusky county wineries by CoolCleveland’s resident winery maven Claudia Taller, perhaps you’re eager to start checking them out. Here’s a chance to visit one of the wineries she wrote about and help out a worthy cause as well. Vermilion Valley Vineyards is hosting an laidback evening to benefit the Oberlin Heritage Center.
Rich Holsworth will play acoustic fingerstyle and jazz guitar as guests sample a flight of six wines, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and sweets, while Vermilion Valley co-owner Joe Juniper fills them in about the wines and the winery. Afterward, historial Mary Manning will give a brief presentation about a great French Wine Blight of the 19th century and how it impacted the wine-making industry.
Tickets are $15. Register at oberlinheritagecenter.org or call 440-774-1700.
