One of the area’s heritage vineyards, the Klingshorn Winery was established in 1935 and is currently run by Lee and Nancy Klingshirn, the third generation. Concord grapes formed the backbone of the business for the first 50 years; new types of vines were planted in the ’80s. All these grapes can be found in their wines — or in the grape juice available for home wine making. Klingshirn’s retail store, which also carries wine-related accessories, is open from 10am-6pm daily except Sunday for carryout sales and light sampling only.
