Hinting at Elements Not Present @HeightsArts

ha

Opening Fri 4/24 @ 6 – 9pm

The noun syncope can mean many things. In medicine it refers to the fleeting loss of consciousness. In phonetics, it’s when certain sounds or letters are not pronounced aloud. In the photographs of Rachel Beamer and the abstract drawings of Achala Wali, it’s when the work hints at elements not present… things felt but not seen.

These works are subtle, yet they’ll spark a feeling within you. See Syncope for yourself at Heights Arts, opening Fri 4/24
and running through Sat 6/6.
