Cleveland’s FiveOne Experimental Orchestra first performed nearly seven years ago. Since then it has put together numerous adventurous programs, drawing on a wide range of musicians and other creative collaborators to “bridge the gap between pop culture and modern art music.”
“We believe there is a large market of young, free-thinking individual who could find a great bond with the intricacies and abstraction of recent classical music if properly exposed on their terms, in their venues,” they say.
So its next program will take place at the Market Avenue Wine Bar in the heart of the West 25th Street brewery/party district. With the provocative name of All Who Dare Enter, the program will include five musicians — the group’s artistic director John Thompson (pictured), its executive director Jeremy Allen, David Crowell, Michael Laurello and Marc Mellits — performing pieces you probably have never heard of, but who knows, you might like.
Take a chance and dare to enter. It’s free.
