STEMpowerkids wants to get kids excited about science, technology, engineering and math. This local start-up, run by a team of STEM professionals and childhood education experts, creates STEMpowerPacks to engage kids early on in scientific activities. These activity kits, which are aimed at kids ages 3 – 8, are sent to subscribers on a monthly basis and contain a wide variety of material and fun experiments with easy-to-follow lesson plans for the parents.
The kits were released as part of a pilot program. After receiving feedback, the kits are now improved and ready to introduce kids to the exciting worlds of chemistry, matter, electricity, insects, air pressure and arithmetic.
But they need your help! After assembling the kits themselves, the inventors of STEMpowerkids are ready to begin professionally manufacturing the first three kits in their series. Help get these kits off the ground by backing their Kickstarter campaign and spreading the word about a cool, much-needed local business.
