The BOX is a gallery created by the Artists of Rubber City, who were formed by University of Akron students in 1978. The Artists of Rubber City was formed as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and keeps their galley space the same way.
One thing the BOX has going for it over other local galleries is the eclectic mix of artists who show there. Drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, pottery, graphic designs and more could all be on display at the same time. So if you’re looking for something new, exciting or even experimental, it’s worth stopping by the BOX.
