Northeast Ohio has never exactly overflowed with Greek restaurants — it can be easier to find an exotic Asian cuisine — but Taki’s Greek Kitchen fills in the gap on the far west side in Avon Lake, serving a menu of upscale Greek food. Chef/owner Peter Diamantis bringing his Culinary Institute of America training to bear on the offerings, which are familiar yet a little out of the ordinary. Dolmodes, avgolemono, moussaka, spanikopita and baklava are all on the menu, along with some unfamiliar sounding dishes that fortunately a fully described in the menu. The drink list features cocktails plenty, lots of Greek wine and, of course, ouzo.
