The fifth annual Larchmere Porchfest drew a record crowd on a sunny day to hear 30 bands play on the porches of 30 homes on the side streets radiating off Larchmere.
People brought lawn chairs or flopped down on lawns to listen to music as diverse as the earnest acoustic songs of Dan Miraldi, the electronica of Hexidecimals, Scoliosis Jones’ rockabilly and reggae from Jah Messengers.
As evening approached, the party continued in Larchmere bars and restaurants as evening, with a large group of revelers assembling around the large float parked outside Jezebel’s Bayou to hear Universal Funk Mob.
